Easy Baked Persimmons
This easy recipe is a great choice for a healthy dessert, or makes for the perfect addition to your breakfast bowl in the morning.
Substitutes:
- No vanilla paste? Try fresh vanilla or another flavouring life orange or lemon zest instead.
- No cinnamon? Try mixed spice or allspice instead.
- No maple syrup? Use honey or agave syrup instead.

Ingredients:
3 persimmons
1 tsp vanilla paste
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp water
Recipe:
Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas mark 8.
Cut the persimmons into small slices and add to a baking dish. Add the water, maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well so that all the persimmon slices are well coated.
Bake in the oven for 15-30 minutes, or until the fruit is tender - this will vary depending on how ripe the persimmons are.
Serve as they are, or with some natural yoghurt or ice cream. Enjoy!
