1 apple

4 Slices of bread

140 g cheddar (grated )

1 tbsp unsalted butter

Recipe:

  1. Use a mandoline or knife to thinly slice the apple.

  2. Put the bread slices on a chopping board and top two of the slices with grated cheese and apple slices. Close the sandwiches with the remaining two bread slices.

  3. Melt the butter in a frying pan, and fry the sandwiches on a medium-low heat for 5 minutes, or until golden brown on each side and the cheese has melted. To ensure the cheese is melted you can add a couple of drops of water to the pan and cover with a lid to create a steam for 30 seconds.
