Apple & Cheddar Toastie
Level up your average toastie with something even more comforting. Buttery and indulgent, this apple and cheddar toastie is perfect for autumnal days (and any time of year besides).
Substitutes:
● No cheddar? Use red leicester, gouda or emmental instead.
● No apple? Use pear instead.
● No butter? Use olive oil instead.

Ingredients:
1 apple
4 slices of bread
140 g cheddar (grated)
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Recipe:
Thinly slice the apple.
Pop the bread on a chopping board. Top two slices with grated cheese and apple slices, then add another slice on top of each to create two sandwiches.
Melt the butter in a frying pan. Fry the sandwiches on a medium-low heat for 5 minutes, or until golden brown on each side and until the cheese has melted.
Cut the sandwiches in half for a satisfying cheese pull, and enjoy!
How to store
Individually wrap with baking paper and cling film and store in the fridge for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
