You’ve probably noticed that things are a little different around here. But, in classic Oddbox style, this is about much more than looks.
We’ve been fighting food waste since 2016, supporting farmers across the UK and beyond. Naturally, we’ve evolved along the way – so now, it’s time to rescue more than fruit and veg.
It’s a topsy-turvy food system, and we’re taking the chance to do even more good. Say hello to your Oddbox – odder than ever, with even more goodness.
Since we started our fruit and veg rescue mission ten years ago, every curvy cucumber, dinky apple and spectacular spud has made a difference. Over that time, we’ve had more and more folks join our mission, and it’s become clearer that we’re not just seeing fruit and veg go to waste – we’re looking at an entire food system that’s broken.
We’ve heard all about it first-hand from growers and passed their stories along to you. We’ve pushed back against the problems with countless waste-fighting recipes and food hacks. We’ve been aiming higher for a while now, and it’s finally time to take off.
Thinking outside the Oddbox
So, what’s changing? In short, we’re going beyond just fruit and veg to bring you good food that does good – in loads of different ways.
We’ve already made a start with The Market, rescuing everything from planet-positive honey to exploitation-fighting chocolate, along with loose everyday essentials and refillables to help cut out plastic waste.
We’re working to flip the food system on its head. We want to help you make the most of your fruit and veg with delicious meals, and we want to rescue even more food and do even more good. We’ve got big plans to bring even more to your table, too.
It’s everything we’re already doing, but going even further. Our mission’s not changing, just growing. We’ve got some ginormous plans for the future, and it all starts here.
What does this mean for me?
We don’t just want to talk the talk – we want to make it easier for everyone to walk the walk. We want to help our community cook and eat more creatively.
You can still pick all the farm-fresh, rescued fruit and veg you love, plus all the extras and essentials you fancy from The Market (with a few plastic-free treats to boot). We’ll send you even more scrumptious recipes to help you get creative with flavour, while keeping things simple and flexible.
Before you know it, you’ll have everything you need for a mouth-watering meal – all it takes is a little outside-the-supermarket thinking.
A new lick of paint
You’ve probably noticed: we’ve turned orange. Why orange, you ask?
Well, there are obviously loads of super-intellectual reasons for the change, but come on – who doesn’t love oranges? They’re fab fruits and it’s a fab colour, so it was an easy call in the end.
